10 Jan 2012 With a full moon in the sky I headed out after work to get some shots but by the time I got outside the moon was hidden by cloud. I decided to try out the tripod instead and get some slow-shutter shots of the traffic.
If you look at the red trails on the left you can see dashes of yellow where a car was indicating to turn.

Queen Street
10 Jan 2012 Standing on the edge of a traffic island I got a few funny looks standing out in the cold peering into my camera. However, the 'speaking crossing' kept me company with it's announcements of "The traffic coming from Princes Street has been stopped".

Tentsmuir on Boxing Day

25 Dec 2011 Sitting around after Christmas dinner, this is Grandpa looking very at home in a traditional Orkney Chair.

Christmas in Newport
25 Dec 2011 Going home for Christmas always end up with a walk down memory lane. In this case these steps which lead up to a path along an old railway track. This is the way we used to walk to school, and I remember them vividly because they are where I slipped one winter's morning and knocked out my two front teeth.
